Naval Veteran Patrick Schmidt Files to Run For Congress
Naval Reservist and sixth-generation Kansan, Patrick Schmidt officially filed for Kansas’ 2nd Congressional district today.
“For the past year, I’ve traveled around the 2nd district meeting with my fellow Kansans and one thing has become clear, Jake LaTurner is woefully out of touch with their needs,” Schmidt said Rep. LaTurner’s life-long political career consists of raising taxes on working families, voting against critical infrastructure investments, and refusing to help hungry infants get the formula they desperately need.
“Instead of helping Kansas families he votes against every measure that would help them,” Schmidt said. “That’s why I’m running Congress: to help Kansas families achieve the American dream.”
